IVFD Time-lapse culture with morphokinetic embryo selection improves pregnancy and live birth chances and reduces early pregnancy loss: a meta-analysis
The meta-analysis of five randomized controlled trials (n = 1637) showed that the application of time-lapse monitoring was associated with a significantly higher ongoing clinical pregnancy rate (51.0% versus 39.9%), with a pooled odds ratio of 1.542 (P < 0.001), significantly lower early pregnancy loss (15.3% versus 21.3%: OR: 0.662: P = 0.019) and a significantly increased live birth rate (44.2% versus 31.3%: OR 1.668: P = 0.009). IVFD Towards the global coverage of a unified registry of IVF outcomes
I would also like to stress the importance of reporting unified IVF treatment outcomes. Reaching a global consensus on how to report ART outcomes in terms that are relevant for patients (and presumably future children) would not only facilitate global comparison of IVF, but most importantly would induce a way to practice ART with a distinct focus on the health and wellbeing of the individual (couple) undergoing ART and also of the child to be.

IVFD Evaluating the benefit of measuring serum progesterone prior to the administration of hCG: effect of the duration of late-follicular elevated progeste
Conclusion: these results suggest a lack of benefit in measuring serum P in the days preceding hCG administration, since LBR in women with LFEP >1 day do not vary significantly from those with LFEP detected only on the day of hCG administration

IVFD Air pollution and female fertility: a systematic review of literature
We found that in the IVF population, nitrogen dioxide and ozone were associated with a reduced live birth rate while particulate matter of 10 mm was associated with increased miscarriage. Furthermore, in the general population, particulate matter of 2.5 mm and between 2.5 and 10 mm were associated with reduced fecundability, whereas sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide might promote miscarriage and stillbirths.

IVFD Psychosocial predictors of IVF success after one year: a follow-up study
Conclusions: The findings point to potential psychological interventions in terms of stress management, couple counselling and mindfulness therapy in increasing the likelihood of success from IVF.

IVFD Follitropin delta in repeated ovarian stimulation for IVF: a controlled, assessor-blind Phase 3 safety trial
Conclusions: The trial demonstrated the low immunogenicity potential of follitropin delta in repeated ovarian stimulation, and confirmed the appropriateness of the follitropin delta dosing regimen in repeated cycles, with documented efficacy and safety.

IVFD Vaginal microbiota and IVF outcomes: development of a simple diagnostic tool to predict patients at risk of a poor reproductive outcome
No significant association between Community state type and the reproductive outcome could be demonstrated, however, abnormal vaginal microbiota by qPCR and a grouping based on high Shannon Diversity Index predicted the reproductive outcome equally well.

IVFD Effect of letrozole added to gonadotropins in controlled ovarian stimulation protocols on the yield and maturity of retrieved oocytes
On multivariate linear regression models, co-treatment with letrozole was not a significant factor for the number of retrieved oocytes or for oocyte maturation rate after controlling for age, body mass index (BMI), and FSH dose. We conclude that the addition of letrozole to gonadotropins does not increase the number of oocytes retrieved or the oocyte maturation rate.

IVFD Soluble LH-hCG receptor and oestradiol as predictors of pregnancy and live birth in IVF
Conclusions: sLHCGR levels are negatively related to AMH when oocyte yield is high. High early cycle sLHCGR is associated with elevated day-3 oestradiol. Low sLHCGR and SOR are indicators of increased clinical pregnancy and live birth rates. Patient age and SOR, combined with EOR, might improve prediction of IVF treatment outcomes.

IVFD Time-lapse systems for ART
Given the heterogeneity in studies, the disparity in results, the potentially misleading analysis of results and the lack of equipoise of the authors, it gives us cause to raise our concerns about the robustness of this review. The Cochrane review on the same topic is due for publication in the next couple of months and includes a further four RCTs
