IVFD Vitrification and the Demise of Fresh Treatment Cycles in ART
Efficient cryopreservation techniques have also affected international transport of gametes and embryos, increasing international access. The profound changes that vitrification has created promises to fulfil a prediction made by this journal's founding Editor, Bob Edwards, that embryo and cryopreservation would solve many of the challenges presented by assisted reproductive technology.

IVFD Individual culture and atmospheric oxygen during culture affect mouse preimplantation embryo metabolism and post-implantation development
Preimplantation metabolism of glucose and amino acids is altered by both oxygen and individual culture, and fetal weight is reduced by individual culture under atmospheric oxygen but not 5% oxygen. This study raises concerns regarding the increasing prevalence of single embryo culture in human IVF and adds to the existing evidence regarding the detrimental effects of atmospheric oxygen during embryo culture. Furthermore, these data demonstrate th

IVFD A 5-year Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial of In Vitro Fertilization with Personalized Blastocyst Transfer versus Frozen or Fresh Transfer.
In this RCT, despite an unexpected 50% patient drop-out rate compared to the 30% initially planned, PP analysis demonstrates statistically significant improvement in pregnancy, implantation and cumulative LB rates in pET compared to FET and ET arms, indicating the potential utility of pET guided by the ERA test at the first appointment.

IVFD Cytoplasmic Halo Characteristics During Fertilization and Their Implications for Human Preimplantation Embryo Development and Pregnancy Outcome
Conclusions: Halo presence and morphokinetics are associated with cleavage patterns, development to blastocyst stage and ongoing pregnancy rate after single blastocyst transfer. Halo morphokinetics seems to reflect sperm and oocyte quality. Cytoplasmic halo might be valuable predictor for refining selection of more developmentally competent blastocysts.

IVFD LIF in Embryo Culture Medium Is a Predictive Marker for Clinical Pregnancy Following IVF-ET of Patients With Fallopian Tube Obstruction
Compared to non-pregnant group, LIF level in the embryo culture medium on the day of blastocyst transplantation was significantly higher in the pregnant group. LIF level in the embryo culture medium may be used as a non-invasive auxiliary biomarker for predictive clinical pregnancy in infertile women with tubal problems that using single blastocyst transfer method.
