IVFD Gamete-level immunogenetic incompatibility in humans–towards deeper understanding of fertilization and infertility?
ll the studied sperm pre-fertilization physiological parameters (motility, hyperactivation, acrosome reaction, and viability) were strongly dependent on male–female combination. In other words, follicular fluids (women) that induce strong sperm physiological response in some males often induce much weaker response in the other(s).

IVFD Calcium Oscillatory Patterns and Oocyte Activation During Fertilization: a Possible Mechanism for Total Fertilization Failure (TFF) in Human In Vitro
This paper reviews the effects of calcium oscillatory patterns in oocytes and early embryo development. Total fertilization failure (TFF) is the failure of fertilization in all oocytes in a human IVF cycle, even after treatment with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). It is not well understood and currently attributed to oocyte activation deficiency

IVFD Man versus machine in IVF-can artificial intelligence replace physicians?
However, the next step in quest of the use of AI in day-to-day IVF decision making during ovarian stimulation appears to be the development of an algorithm trained with large amount of data and integrated evidence-based recommendations (when to trigger, when to cancel, when to change the dose and by how much, when to ask the patient to return for monitoring) and to see if this algorithm would come up with different set of recommendations for cycl

IVFD The Pregnancy Outcome of Mosaic Embryo Transfer: A Prospective Multicenter Study and Meta-Analysis
Our meta-analysis concluded that METs gave rise to pregnancies but were associated with a reduced ongoing/live birth rate and a higher miscarriage rate. All 37 MET live births were confirmed viable, among which 8 completed prenatal genetic testing with normal results. Longitudinal investigation on one MET pregnancy evidenced the aneuploidy depletion hypothesis. This is the first multi-center prospective study reporting a full MET pregnancy outcom

IVFD Metabolic activity of human blastocysts correlates with their morphokinetics, morphological grade, KIDScore and artificial intelligence ranking
These results confirm that metabolites, such as glucose and amino acids, are valid biomarkers of embryo viability and could therefore be used in conjunction with other systems to aid in the selection of a healthy embryo.

IVFD Peripheral action of kisspeptin at reproductive tissues—role in ovarian function and embryo implantation and relevance to assisted reproductive techno
Kisspeptin (KISS1) is encoded by the KISS1 gene and was initially found to be a repressor of metastasis. Natural mutations in the KISS1 receptor gene (KISS1R) were subsequently shown be associated with idiopathic hypothalamic hypogonadism and impaired puberty.

IVFD Is in vitro fertilization (IVF) associated with perinatal affective disorders?
The available data indicate that IVF is not associated with perinatal affective symptoms. Women who resorted to IVF could have less perinatal depressive symptoms as the result of a positive outcome of the technique and the satisfaction of the desire to become mothers. Further studies are necessary in order to draw definitive conclusions about this topic.

IVFD A PMMA-Based Microfluidic Device for Human Sperm Evaluation and Screening on Swimming Capability and Swimming Persistence
This device can achieve a one-step procedure of high-quality sperm selection and achieve the quantitative evaluation of sperm swimming capability and persistence. Sperm with good swimming capability and persistence may be more suitable for fertilization in a viscous environment. This microdevice and methods could be used to guide the evaluation of sperm motility and screening in the future.
