Topic:LN dewars Date Open: 3/2012
Comment: - How do clinics manage their LN dewars. When are dewars replaced, how do you separate different samples, how do you manage the alarms, how often do you audit the contents?

Subject: Age of Dewars
Comment: :I understand most dewars are guaranteed for 10 years. In the last clinic I worked at, we set a rule that all dewars must be retired after 15 years even though there older dewars have never lost any nitrogen. Currently this has been accepted by accreditation authorities but for how long? Embryos are always moved to the newest dewar. Levels are checked at least weekly before filling.
