Reference is the WHO Manual 4th Edition. The midpiece should be slender, less than 1 um in width and 1.5 times the length of the sperm head AND attached axially to the head (page 19). Abnormailities exist where insertion is NOT axially, bent more than 90 degree to the angle of the head or where it is either atypically thin or thick. | ||||||
