As a senior scientist involved in IVF since 1982, I have written and used database systems to manage patient and laboratory information. However, for some systems such as quality assurance, that require external interaction, local systems have little relevance. There is considerable information that needs to be shared between clinics particularly to do with professional standards and development. I found the Internet to be a powerful medium to create and develop such systems. The site wishes to bridge workers in ALL countries and across all appropriate professional levels and societies and ALL are welcome. FertAid is intended for use by all who are associated with Clinical IVF, pathology scientists, animal husbandry and research workers in all areas of the reproductive sciences. While there will be parts of the site where patients or other browsers may find useful, the primary aim of the site is to assist professional staff. | ||||||
